Autistic Fraternal Twins

Welcome to the Autistic Fraternal Twins Resource Center

Welcome to the Autistic Fraternal Twins Resource Center – created to provide accurate, reliable information about a link between Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and terbutaline sulfate, an asthma drug used off-label to stop preterm labor.

Why Fraternal Twins?

Fraternal twins are providing insight into environmental triggers for Autism Spectrum Disorder – once widely considered a genetic disorder. Unlike identical twins, who share the same DNA, fraternal twins share only half their DNA, as in siblings. Yet the rate of autism among fraternal twins is considerably higher than among siblings born on different dates.

Cost of Raising an Autistic Child

Do you consider ASD a primarily childhood disorder? Think again. Caring for an autistic individual over the course of a life span can exceed $1.2 million.

Terbutaline – Not Another Vaccination Scare

Unlike news reports of the 2000s that erroneously linked childhood vaccinations to autism, the threat of terbutaline sulfate to fetal brains is backed by scores of peer-reviewed studies and decades of research.

Autism Rates Steadily Increasing

The prevalence of autism is increasing so dramatically in the U.S. that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention calls it a public health concern. Since the 1960s, autism rates have increased ten-fold.
